Is this any good? (umbrella flash stand)

You can get the stuff in the UK for less than that, plus those umbrella adapters are rubbish....
 
Any suggestions? Can an adaptor really be that bad? I mean as long as it holds a flash im happy!
 
they're not too bad.

They don't play nice with modern nikon speedlights, and I don't know what the canon ones are like, but they might well be fine with the canon ones.

I would suggest that for an umbrella, you pm this man ^ and buy his ball head umbrella mount and an umbrella, and then buy this (probably cheaper elsewhere).
 
'flash in the pan' sells them? Is that who you are referring to?

I have bought both the adapter and umbrella from FITP, also a softbox and triggers too. good stuff, cheap and free postage too.. its all good
 
Yes, FITP's stuff is great. Quick delivery and if it goes wrong he is just a quick PM away.
 
calumet brand stands and adaptors are good, not as good as frotto but cheaper by a healthsome margin

btw @ flash they delivered it (I assume it was from you) this morning but I was in the shower :bang:

Wish they would copy the Photoflex version, that appears to only be available in the USA.
