Why do you need a disc? The download and emailed serial version is exactly the same. You can burn your own disc if needed.

It's also arrives sooner as you don't need to wait a couple of days for the postie.

As said, Adobe have a 'sale' on at the moment so that is probably the cheapest at the moment.

can you point me to that sale- I cant find it cheaper than £675 from Adobe direct

Les :(

Dont know where the cheapest place is Les, did you know CS6 is due to be released

:D:shrug:Find yourself a student?

:whistling:

I would offer but i have already registered my copy of cs5.5. Only one a year sadly.

Bloody good idea though.

My main weapon of choice is 3DS max, sadly they dont do the deal that adobe do for students.

£3500 for one piece of software and another £1200 for the Vray plugin. :gag:

I visited the Adobe web site and the cost is £675.60p

I was thinking about this the other day, that photoshop is a pretty inexpensive bit of software, for what it allows you to do. When you step into the realm of 3d software costs just rocket!

We run 5 seats of Maya, a complete render farm with 20 vray licenses, and 8 seats of Autodesk Studio. Our *annual* maintenance/subscription costs are in excess of 40k just for the pleasure of using the software, which is on top of the original purchase costs for each license (purchase price approx 150k over the years)

500quid for photoshop suddenly seems very good value!

Yep it is very very expensive. I hope to be starting my own business, using max and just the initial outlay for a comp plus the software is going to be £10k

I tried a render farm service and €20 went after i blinked.

Ho hum :)

If it did turn out to be a genuine deal, I would still proceed with caution.

When you buy the Master Collection, my understanding is (and please correct me if I'm wrong) that when it comes to upgrading it in the years to come, you have to upgrade ALL of the applications contained within - not just the ones you want to. I believe a lot of people have been caught out by this.

I followed your link and got this
