Yes
The reason i ask is i`m looking to set one up as purely a point of contact for my carpentry business , i was recently laid off from the builder that i worked for and have to get some cheap advetising going pretty quick, i appreciate this won`t end up top of googles front page but anything is going to help.I have a domain name already i bought about a year ago .

There is but it will be covered in adverts placed by the host. The best option would be to get your own hosting, many places offer this for under £30 a year and you could use a basic template to get yourself started quickly.

You could try gbbo.co.uk - It was a recent(ish initiative to get British Businesses online. You get a free domain name and free hosting. I got a domain name off them but never really got the site up and running so it just re-directs to my photoblog instead for the time being.

Aside from an odd call to see how things are going it was relatively hassle free.

EDIT:- Forgot to mention that the address I registered also now appears on Google Maps if you google for photographers in Canvey Island as a result of this, so for bringing your business to the fore, it's quite handy......

You can have a corner of my hosting account if it's not going to be generating heavy traffic, I'm not planning to move hosts any time soon.

PM me if you like.

I just showed your post to my wife at which point she said I can do this on her site , so a big thanks for the offer and helping my wife remember it can be done, Harvey

The site I use is free and it does give you the ability to upgrade if you want too. Very easy to use as well. www.webs.com

Brilliant site - select your site name and the web site you create is free to use and pretty easy to edit. Only limited to about 10 pages and 50Mb I think!

I upgraded the one I use for my local club for more pages and more memory.....
