A pretty straightforward question - is it obvious or not what I want you to do, and would you say you need a PhD to order prints from the site?

I am only asking because I seem to get quite few emails along the lines of "I saw / like photo X - is it possible to order it as print / canvas?"

What is the problem? Or are they actually asking "Can I have that 40x60" print for £1.99?"

P.S. The overall design and quite a few things will change over the course of the year, so please ignore that and just focus on the obvious and important parts. The ordering system and galleries are going to stay as far as I can imagine

Thanks

Thanks guys. Unless it is something odd and very specific it must be on the other side of the screen? IE6 anyone? I did have an issue before with mobile site - it didn't have a cart - but now the 'm' is disabled.

P.S. I just looked at Joe Cornish website - I need to raise my prices!!!

Major problem with your site (for me). Makes me homesick for Crete!!! :( TBH, you can keep Hersonissos (and even more so Malia!) but we love Lassithi and pretty much all points West of Iraklio.

Pretty sure the problem is in the seat/keyboard interface - people seem unable to read what they can ask about via e-mail/contact form or even phone! Mrs Nod gets calls and e-mails from people who have got her details from her site asking for details that are on the same page as her details (usually other teachers' contact details). Luckily (for me!) she has the patience of a saint so deals with them calmly and efficiently, even if she is making silly faces at me at the same time!

Thanks for reply. Wow you managed to find Crete in there! Not many visitors get this far. I loved Lasithi, great place. Malia.... a bit like Cardiff on Satuday night all week long :). And it does remind me I need to get to Santorini at some point.

My only cc is that I would like to see the photo's full screen or just bigger, you click on them but they stay the same size

I would love to do that (helps to make a better impression) but I already have loads of trouble with copyright infringements. What would you suggest - something along more watermarking?

I'm not sure really, but in a lot of them, your tag is in corners were it's fairly easy to clone out

I know, it only stops the lazy ones, and could make them think twice about doing it, but technically it is easy to clone. I would like to hear some opinions on that as long as it doesn't have to be done individually with each photo.

For example if I had something really faint (3-% opacity) somewhere central - would anyone even notice it? Even if I overlay the photo they can and will take a screenshot to grab it. It is so dead easy on a mac and must be similar on PC.

Unfortunately, it is. It's a shame that people will steal anything that's seemingly just left there and that nice pics have to be protected by obtrusive watermarks. I'm sure I read about a trick that didn't protect against screen grabs but did give anyone who right clicked and saved a rather rude message concerning their morals and parentage!

The biggest problem is that any photo can be copied using bundled utilities like a snipping tool

You could try experimenting by overlaying the pics with a single transparent GIF but that won't stop tools like Screen Hunter, or using the technique where as soon as you mouse over a thumbnail a larger pic pops up.

May stop some thievery since as soon as you move the mouse the pic would snap back to a thumbnail.

Believe it uses either Javascript or Flash to achieve this.
