Is there anything worse than waiting for the big brown UPS van to turn the corner :bang:

:lol::lol:

Yeah, waiting for the green and yellow city link one, as you know there is a damn good chance it just wont turn up at all!

Beaten to the comment by Jimmy!!

Waiting for a call from the hospital when a loved one is about to pass away is way worse than waiting for any goods delivery.

Only two hours left for it to arrive today, if not, tomorrow:bang::bang:

We didn't call them city link... it sounded similar but meant something else altogether.

Yeah.. waiting in all day, listening for the knock on the door, then finding a 'Sorry, you were out' card on the doormat...

Ok, it was the Royal Mail... and he did NOT knock! :annoyed:

Lucky you! At least you got a card. City Link were reliable with me, but last week I was waiting for DHL. Apparently according to their online tracking, they had "No One To Receive Card Left".

What card?! I never found one anywhere on and off the premises... Worse still, when I rang them up, they asked how I knew they had attempted delivery if I never got a card... :bang:

Missing the City link van when you were in your house only to get a card through your door saying you have to go and pick it up in their local depot... 45 MILES AWAY!

Driving 45 miles to the depot the next day for them to say "it hasnt returned from its route yet, give it another day" and then having to drive back home again, and do the same journey again.

Bloody Swavesy, never want to go back.

Not fun,

Rich

Yeah I call them that too, but it would have been starred out and not made as much sense :) kind of them to provide these apt versions of their names isn't it.

Parcel Farce, ****** Link, D H Hell, OOPS,

 Yep thats the one.

When we were having some building work done a couple of years ago, I was waiting for an important delivery.
I came out of the kitchen into the hall to see a Royal Mail card on the doormat saying they couldn't deliver the parcel because they couldn't get access to the door.
Think about it. I made sure they did!

Still not here :bang: the tracking number won't work now either :|

Ghosty postie:lol:

Any body know a contact number for UPS  should have been here on the 5th...

You are not by chance having it delivered to S.E. France?

Bloody Swavesy, never want to go back

Know it well, at least its only just down the road for me, couldn't believe the amount of proof they wanted me to take
When I got there they gave my driving licence a cursory glance and went and got my stuff

To be fair "faeces aroma" are pretty good with my deliveries, probably because its so near their base

Interesting footnote, if you type "faeces" into google it suggests facebook :) (wanted to check my spelling. one of those words you know you have typed correctly, but just had to check)
