Just pulled out my jar of fixer brewed in April, sniffed it, seemed OK, clip tested it and it was fine! Used it on a roll, still fine!

Can't believe it's been 6 months since I last shot any film.:gag:

Oh and a note for everyone - don't leave APX100 in a camera for 6 months, the curl the leader takes on makes it impossible to load into a spiral without incident! :lol:
 
I tend just to give mine enough uses until it goes manky or I don't trust it any more.

As an aside, APX100 is a curly mofo however you treat it!
 
April, is that it? I was using a batch i made in January up until i moved back to uni a few weeks ago, thought i should treat myself to a new batch of chems :D

I'll put it back in it's hidey hole till the new year then, I may be ready to dev a roll by then! :lol:
 
My fixer is probably a year or more old. Still works though as it doesn't get much action and lives in a fridge.
 
Just an update, still using the same batch of fixer - that's 12 months been kept under the bed, not a million miles away from the radiator!

Can't be much life left in it now surely?

I ended up having a roll of Technical Pan that I exposed at 25 in for almost 7 months and I've currently got some Adox CHS25 thats been in my Spotmatic F since August, I've just had so much university work over the past months that I've hardly had any time off to go and take any pictures :(
 
I'm only using it today because i need to get the roll of Delta 3200 I put in the OM4 last year out. It was supposed to have done both my new to me film challenge and my January challenge!

OOD and neglected Delta isn't too bad at all, quite possibly the most successful development I've done in Caffenol to date and all the ingredients are over a year old!
 
I mixed mine when I did my first testing roll of caffenol, my first ever developing attempt... still working now, and that was aaaaaaaaaages ago
 
Can't recall when I mixed mine but it's still going strong.

Like Mads, it was, (or at least seems like), an eternity ago.......
