I was talking to a few friends who are School togs.

And have a nightmare with Togs giving a helping hand..... Had to laugh...as so many togs stick their nose up up at school photography ( I know I did) but can they shoot it?

Hhahahaha can they heck as like. Just the boring old traditional head and shoulders stuff ( which we don't do much of) .
Togs shoot loose and can not keep all head sizes consistant. Don't notice slave not firing or recycling times for flash heads. all such basic stuff.

And this from seasoned chaps with studios and wedding businesses... Guess they should have trained them a little on what to do........

Unbelievable!!!!

I have had these probs from time to time but you have to chuckle.

Just thought I'd think out loud...... As so many seem tobe entering new areas of revenue. Does make me chuckle.

we have a company come into our school and its a joke!

I was talking to her the other day, shes not a photographer and works for one of these big companies. She has a diagram taped to the inside of her bag with measurements to place lights, background, stool etc.

She tapes it out on the floor following the diagram, and puts things in place.

She then follows the instructions and using a 50mm prime shoots away tethered. The software she uses has a cross on, so she can check shes got the kid at the right height etc, and thats it. She scans the barcode on each childs ticket and off she goes.

A bulb went in one of her flashes, and she had to call the boss on her mobile to talk her through changing it! after she had finished shooting i got talking to her, and she has worked for the company for four years, and gets paid pennies!

They have a termly meeting and the boss gives them new instruction sheets and they do a bit of role play...

thats her :)
