Hopefully I can explain this properly but when using the evf after I 1/2 press the shutter button and achieve focus lock the screen will either go very dark or very bright best described as a flicker . Anyone else experience this?
Should add it only lasts a split second but is noticeable

My XF1 did something like that, this was just before it failed. Hopefully your problem is something simple.

A well-documented "feature" of this tiny leaf-shutter lens. Some people notice it, some don't. Mine only does it when I look for it!
 
PS if you're worried, ring Fuji UK service.

I had the T before and never noticed it at all . Now that I know it's fairly normal and trying to ignore it . :-)
