hi all ive recently got into photography. my aim as is everyones is to take some great photos and to enjoy myself in the process. I have purchased a canon 60d lenses at the moment are just standard canon ones 18-55, 70-200 etc. just wondering if the camera itself as i do plan to purchase better lenses is good enough to take photos and have them printed at A3 size? Assuming that i take them correctly that is, i do understand that its not just the equipment but the person as well behind it!

cheers

Absolutely.
You can print a3 on cameras from 2005 without issue. The 60d is one of the latest releases so is more than capable.

I think the 60D is more than capable of producing shots that can be printed at A3 size!

thanks for the swift replies. sorry if it was a stupid question, im a complete neubie so i have some probably daft questions waiting to be asked!!
looking forward to get going on this photography lark!

The 60D and A3 is straightforward, but the image quality will depend a lot more on the lenses and the photographer.

I've printed A3 from my old Minolta Dimage 7i at 1600 x 1200, which is 2 MP, when I had to adjust the settings to save space on the memory card. The results were fine.

My old Nikon D70 is capable of producing decent prints at A3+. Not perfect if you're examining them at a couple of inches distance but at normal viewing distances, they're fine.

I would suggest the OP gets a couple of his best pics and gets them printed to the maximum size he wants, then looks at them from a normal viewing distance to see if they're good enough for him - I'll bet they are!

Camera quality will be the least of your worries. Learn to shoot RAW and the basics of post-processing to get the most out of your pictures!

more than enough wth the 60d

Don`t worry about asking questions, if you don`t know, then you don`t know.Asking isn`t daft, not asking is........

A 60D would be good enough for 99% of people. Just because people have more expensive cameras does not mean they actually need them or the results are noticeably any better.

Stay off of equipment sections of forums and you will never be in any doubt!
