I took this photo on a recent job and although i think its nice for the parents, for me, it would look great if it was just the girl....
Im thinking of having it on my website but cant figure out how to remove the young lad...
dont suppose anyone could help here???

she would look odd on her own as the left balances the fact that there is nothing on the right.. its stops dead at here hair (i presume thats end of picture and not just a very straight hairline:) ) . on her own it wouldnt work IMHO

Thanks for your comments guys.

Copy layer, crop to remove most of the boy, mask layer, set foreground to black, select brush tool, paint out remainder of boy, switching foreground to white to paint back any errors, when happy with image flatten. Create new white canvas larger than the image of the girl, then drag image onto the new canvas. Select the erase tool and erase any bits of the boy that may now be visible also remove the of white area top right, now still using the erase tool set brush to a large soft size and lower its opacity to about 20% then erase the edges of the image using the edge of the brush. Flatten and then crop keeping symmetry around the girl, select all, and add a border by selecting the stroke command from the edit menu, enter 1px, inside, and black as the colour, apply.

select her using a tool of your choice and refine the selection on the edge of her face that borders with his using the quick select>refine edge tool. Go ahead and create a mask from that and put a solid colour fill underneath that is the same colour as the rest of the background.. set it to darken.. done!

Wow, thanks for that guys, I will work on this tonight, maybe it wont come out right... but maybe it will.....
thanks again
