No
I have been writing a blog whilst on my honeymoon, and I would like to see if it is possible to download it pictures and all and make it into a book a bit like the photobooks that are going around.

Anyone done this or know how to do it? some pics of the wife doing the 'chronicles of the wedding dress' are int eh sports section, her on a DH bike, skiing, climbing etc in her wedding dress.

Many thanks in advance.

You should be able to download the text from your settings panel; not sure about the images so you might have to re-insert them where you want them.

Many prolific bloggers have gone from bloggers to full blown published authord, simply by converting their blogs to books. What I would suggest is you export the blog in the settings and you'll end up with a nice XML file with all the posts in it. Most blogging platforms have an export and import function in them to allow you to move from one platform to another should you ever wish to, it's also a good way to back up the contents of your blog.

With regards to the images I'd recommend not using the images that you've uploaded but use the original files as those will be of better quality for print. Do you still have the original camera files?

It's a very doable thing and I know lots of people who have done this either through self publishing or by being published by a mainstream publisher.

Kayjay,

it is with 'Blogger' and i have seen the export button. a good idea for uploading new photos as they are all very low quality. do you knwo any companies that can turn this XMl into a book?

Many thanks

Well, personally I don't know any that would do that, but what you should do is take the text out manually and separate it into pages / sections and use that to work on the structure of your book. Cut and paste kind of thing. If you open the XML file in firefox you'll be able to see everything more clearly than just looking at it in a text editor.

Is there a lot of text?

I've not done it myself but i'm pretty sure that Blurb do a blog-slurp option. Blurb seem to be pretty well thought of.

It has been a six month honeymoon - so there is a fair bit! I will check out Blurb thank you Karlotta.
