Is it okay to be a proud Dad!

Of course it is! My son joined The Side Effects band a few months ago and they have been busy writing new material and rehearsing. They have just spent two days in the recording studio and the first two of four tracks have now been completed.

I was surprised at just how good they sound considering they are just 14 & 15 years old - this is all original material!

The beginning reminded me of The Forest by the Cure, very moody ... sounding promising, I like, well done to him Colin.

It's so refreshing to hear a young group writing their own material, and if they're able to put this together at 14/15 it'll be fantastic to see what they're capable of in a couple of years time.

Again and Again, just pips lies for me, but both are cracking tracks and even better given their ages.


Just remind him that once they sign that multi-album deal you'll be expecting to be able to retire
