The assignment (it's not a competition, honest) is voted for by visible poll on the thread in the relevant forum, all in the name of dveloping photographic skill based around a theme. Hence the open voting system.

The monthly competition (pictures in the galleries section) is a closed voting system, I guess to prevent any prejudice, and should be voted for by PM'ing the admin/mod who is running the compo, with your 3 votes, in order of merit. In this case to Matty!
