hi recently moved from cs3 to cs5 and i have found that on the auto tone menu the colour is a bit green is this becuse the calibration or is it my eyes playing tricks with me :cuckoo:

Yes, albeit on a non-calibrated monitor at the moment.
 
Post a link to the original. Auto isn't always very good - depending on the scene.
 
Oh right so I should not use auto ! the original was in raw so I can change it but I thought the auto tone buttons were ok on cs3 but they seem to of changed in cs5 ,but I happy you said they arnt that good so ill not be so reliant on them

Auto tries to average to mid grey. If that's a magnolia wall behind, it will get it wrong and put a shift on the picture. Best bet is to use the white balance picker from Camera Raw.

Also, if one of the channels in a white area is blown, that will also cause things to be out.
 
Thanks yes only just starting to use raw so still learning but I will try again tonight , its a lot better shooting in raw I'm really pleased with the results thanks again
