Hello,

I make YouTube videos, is canon 650d any good for videos (mainly indoors, but outdoors as well)?
I sometimes do photography as well.

or there's any better option for videos in the same price range.

I'd appreciate your help.

EDIT:
would you suggest Canon 600d for videos, if I narrow my budget a bit? Can I attach external mic with them?

What is your budget?

Have you invested in any kit at the moment?

When shooting indoors will you have access to good light?

If I was serious about shooting video, I'd say an external mike socket isn't really a requirement, because even with an external mike there's not enough sound control in the camera. Get a standalone sound recorder and do it right.

Think about all the crap videos you've seen, the sound plays a large part in the quality of the final product.

Either way with a 600 or 650D you want to be running Magic Lantern with it. It allows for loads more video functions and even RAW video recording ( a lot better quality)

Check them out here. http://www.magiclantern.fm/

and look on Youtube.

I've used a 600D with an external mic a few times. running Magic lantern and RAW recording I was pretty happy with it, especially for the money.
