Is anyone a member of NAPP

I joined NAPP and the Kelby Training site at the same time. Hardly ever use the NAPP but often have a look at the training vids on the Kelby site. Most of the training on NAPP seems to prompt you to join Kelby for more info so in future will probably just stick with that and lapse on the NAPP.

NAPP has quite a lot of discount codes but is more USA orientated. Some good Adobe discounts now too.

Might feel different about it if I was a proper PS pro *** :-)

No you drip, it is no help watersoever :)

Well I typed that as the bath was running and I'm typing this as the plug is gurgling - about an hour's NAP for me there then - and I can assure you its helped me :)

I joined in 2006 and was the best PS resource for me at the time.
Rather a lot of emphasis on design and tricks for me now but it was good to find hidden things that nobody lets you know are there.
Kelby training is better for photography side and less Photoshop.
Worth the money in my opinion although the forums are more US which take some getting used to. Met some nice people there as well.
Not many UK there but it is worldwide.

Then Kelby Training will be your best bet.;)

I was a paying member at Kelby Training for a few months, and it was well worth it.

NAPP I didn't join, but I've considered it. What I would do, is basically have a look at all the other purchase you might make anyway (like Kelby Training subscription, various books and pieces of software, etc) that provide a discount for NAPP members (there's a LOT of places that NAPP can get you a little cash off the purchase price online).

If the discount you would receive for being a NAPP member totals up to more than it would cost you to become a NAPP member, then it's a no brainer really. :)

Once I spot enough deals to cover the cost of NAPP membership in the savings I'll receive, I'll be joining.

I'm a NAPP member.

If you're prepared to utilise the resources for training, tutorials etc then you'll benefit considerably. If you'd rather spend your time trawling the net for free tutorials then maybe get some good advice (and there's heaps of bad advice out there to sift through) then you won't.

The discounts of software alone cover the cost of the years sub, and the magazine is pretty good too.

Not a NAPP member but am on Kelby Training, which is a great resource IMO.

The NAPP discounts are good, but I wouldn't use them enough to really take advantage of the savings so I passed on it.

I am hoping I won't need to buy anything in the near future so discounts won't really swing it for me - looks like the camera stuff is all American based anyway.

At the moment I am working my way though various tutorials that are available free on the web and learning a lot from those, if I think I need more than I will try out NAPP or Kelby Training.
