Yes
A few months ago I joined Amazon's Prime service because I needed a HDD at the time and Amazon offered me to join Prime for £50+ and the HDD I wanted was £50 off for prime members so seemed a good deal.
And I've since saved more money on their Black Friday deals so quite happy with it.
But received this "Special" offer today to join their Prime Music Service:
"After the 90 free days your membership will cost £12.99/month for Prime members and £9.99/month for non-Prime members, with the option to cancel any time."
So it's MORE expensive for Prime members!
Are they kidding?

I thought Prime Music was included with Prime membership.

Yes, you do get a version of prime music with amazon prime membership, but it is like the free version of Spotify (has adds and can't download). Just listening to it now and the advertisement banner is offering me 4 months for £0.99 then £7.99 after that. (non members pay £9.99)

Amazon music is included with Prime, Amazon Music Unlimited is not.

Prime music is add free, not sure about the downloads but you can listen offline so I'm guessing downloads too. But, its a much smaller catalogue than Amazon Music Unlimited .

Didn't realise the OP was talking about the premium service.

Its hard to tell what the OP is referring too, 'cos I can't find any music service by Amazon that costs £12.99

I have Amazon Prime, and also Music Unlimited @ £7.99 a month. I'm confused...

Same here.

Prime is £7.99/month which includes Prime Music (2m songs)

Amazon Music Unlimited is another £7.99/month (50m songs) or, if you only have it on 1 device, it's £3.99

Could the special offer be for Prime + Music Unlimited for £12.99/month? IIRC, £9.99/month is the cost of Music Unlimited for non Prime members. That would make sense as you'd be getting Music Unlimited for £5/month instead of £7.99

So no, I'd say Amazon aren't taking the p****
