Is 6K shutter count on a used mint camera a way to go?

Looking at a camera sale and the guy is stating that the camera has done 6K actuations and also that the Camera is in mint condition? Is 6K mileage something I can pursue?

Yes 6K is nothing when you see them advertised with 60/70K actuations, like a car not even run in at that.

Seller seems to have bought the camera from Digital Rev shipped from HK (Sorry just came to know from seller after an email conversation) around a year ago. Still would you advice it's good to go?
 
Depend on the price,and if your happy with the camera,Digitalrev are a well known HK seller,but as always you will not be covered by any g/tee :)

After 12 months of camera usage would the g/tee not have got expired anyways and if I need repairs on the camera then I have to pay whatever the manufacturer may ask for the repairs?
 
Manufacturers usually give an estimated shutter actuation life with their cameras but it's not guaranteed. Some will last longer and some not so long. However, as has been said, 6K is very little usage and unless you are very unlucky should cause you no problems. I wouldn't worry about where the camera was originally sourced from as long as it is genuine it will be no different from one sourced in the UK.

No issues with that at all.
 
That kind of mileage and usage over a year is nothing. I just looked up the warranty for Canon (assuming based on your sig lol) and it said it was 1 year so even if it's from DigitalRev and is genuine it's not going to make a difference as it'll be out of warranty anyway. Balls in your court but if it were me and it was a good deal then I'd probably go for it myself.
