I downloaded Irfanview for my new Windows 7 PC and when i open up a jpeg that i want to resize, the colours are washed out and uncontrasted also it saves it like that too.
Any idea's how i can change it to normal ? cheers.

I don't use irvinview but I'd be guessing it's a colour profile issue, I've no idea how to fix it though.

Is it saving in adobe rgb colour instead of srgb? Does sound like some sort of colour profile or monitor profile issue to me too.

It's under options/property-settings/zoom colour managment, check it's ticked and set to srgb not rgb.

Not seen it myself but this is what I'm told to do.

Thanks for the replies, a strange thing happened i downloaded windows powertoys resizer that i used to use, i then resized it in that, when i opened it back up in Irfanview guess what - it displayed correctly
Something strange going on maybe i need to calibrate my LED screen too because my printer is oversaturating.

It's possible it's seeing the colour profile from powertoys and displaying correctly, is your camera set to rgb or srgb?
