IPS Monitor

Hi,

I just reserved (and will collect in about 1 hour) this monitor: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/hp-23xi-full-hd-23-ips-led-monitor-21270363-pdt.html

I understand that IPS means the colours are very accurate, much more than on a normal monitor.

I'm just wondering, should I still calibrate IPS monitors?

Good God yes. All monitors should be regularly calibrated...

Still best to calibrate them, my older Dell IPS out of the box was a bit cold

definitely yes. It sorts out contrast and colours, but to appreciate that sometimes you need to learn to see
