Can't remember if I've asked this already, can't find it if I did.

I recently got a new PC and managed to transfer most of the stuff I had on iTunes to the new system (all music). I did lose the Playlists, which is no big deal as I have reconstruct them and new ones too, also added several new CD's to the library as well. Problem is iTunes in the new PC seems to recognise my iPod when I plug it in but doesn't sync and update the iPod with the new stuff. How can I do this??

Wipe the iPod. It will only sync with 1 PC

Cool. Next question is how do I do that?

Pass ;) Your PC should recognise it and it should appear, but you should be prompted to wipe it first.

Arrite. I'll give that a go at the weekend.

Right. I've managed to reset my iPod to factory settings so I now have no music at all on it. It won't sync with iTunes so I'm left with b****r all. GREAT!!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!! Something is happening now. I changed the name on my iPod and fannied about with the sync settings (highlighted the 'sync only ticked songs'). Seems to be adding files now. I hope!!

Got it sussed. Spent all evening so far constructing new playlists. Didn't realize I had so much crap saved in my collection:D

Excellent :)

Excellent :)

Nae really. Just realised I've actually got some Cliff Richard pish on there. Off to the shed to stab myself with a rusty screwdriver several times. :$:rage:

I recently rebuilt/tidied my music library. Was appalled and shocked at some of the rubbish I had lying around on there!
