ipod touch.....mmmm?

mmmmmm.......... no, not for me. I have hypertension so am forever wiping smears off things at the best of times. Does look quite cool tho........ but no!

now if you could plug it straight into a camera and review raw files it'd be handy

for music, i'll stick to my mini in the car and the nano in the gym

I'll stick to me ole 45's :)

I'm not to hot on the spec in and out, but as its more like say a PDA you might be able to plug straight in with the old camera???

wow looks cool, but i bought an 80gb video recently-kinda wish i'd waited for this one, but thats technology for you LOL. it does look great though

It's kind of appealing, but 16gb for £270 isn't great is it? and the major problem for me is that an mp3 player that you can't feel to use and have to actually get out and look at is a bit annoying.

It looks very nice but its got nowhere near enough memory!

I've got a 30Gb Creative Zen (5 years old, size of a caravan) and its full. Anytime I get a new CD I have to delete something else to make room.

I've been meaning to upgrade to a 60Gb IPod but thought I'd wait to see what sizes the 'Touch' came in! So 16Gb is kinda disappointing.

you will struggle to find a solid state mp3 player with more memory for less money?

the old ipod's (now the ipod classic) is built around a 1.8" hard drive - the new ipod touch uses flash memory - which is a lot lot lot smaller, doesnt have moving parts so is less likely to break or wear out - but it is more expensive.

in effect in that £270 ipod touch you have 8 x 2GB CF/SD cards (most likely 4 x 4GB modules)

oh and a word of advice, Never buy a first generation apple product - wait until they've ironed out all the problems. And if you're ever thinking of buying an apple product check the rumour sites (e.g. appleinsider.com) to see if there's an imminent product release.

Not for me, I have a Microsoft Zune and TBH i think it blows the Ipod away, much better screen and sound quality from it.
