Hi all

iPhoto has a nice face recognition feature.

Is there a way to export this metadata from iphoto to lightroom.

I had a play some time ago, but it appeared that iphoto only wrote metadata to jpeg files.

Not sure there is an easy way todo what you want. If you were doing iPhoto to aperture, the yes the faces data would copy across.

Pretty sure LR doesn't even have a face detection system in it. If you could get that metadata out of iPhoto, there's no way way for LR todo anything with it.

Best work around solution would be to use the persons name as a keywords in iPhoto, and then export as jpeg. But your right, iPhoto went touch any metadata when exporting originals, (which I assume in this case is raw?)

b****r,

what ideally that iphoto would write the name as a keyword to the metadata, but doesn't seem to do what i wasn't. Buggger!
