iPhoto -> Aperture

I have aperture that I use reguarly but have some old photos on iPhoto on a different computer. What is the easiest way to import of the projects from iPhoto?

I don't know if this will help, but....purchase photo transfer app from iTunes or www.phototransferapp.com cost £2, then use app to transfer from one PC to another or from iPhone to PC or PC to iPhone, then when you have your image in one place, download to wherever you want it.

Assuming you are backing up your Aperture library (at least) to an external HDD could you not put the iPhoto files on that and then import into Aperture?

Exactly. Within Aperture you can choose:
File -> Import -> iPhoto Library

doublem1 - Not sure whether you've seen the news, but Aperture 3.3 has just been released (as has an update to iPhoto). One benefit is that the each now use the same format library.
