Hi guys

Not sure when it sneaked out as i've not sync'd my fone for a week but 2.2.1 software is out

Doesn't appear to much more than a bug fix.....but it's there all the same :D

cool

I've recently updated the Ipod Touch that I own, So i presume this is something on the same lines although nothing has changed... I wanted little gimmicky extras

Got a feeling that all these 'bug fixes' are 50% about solving problems and the other 50% about making iPhones more difficult to unlock - also it inconveniences those who have jailbroken the phone!

OO before someone tells me off for jailbreaking invalidating warranty etc etc
1) All I have to do is restore it using itunes if I ever need to send it back etc
2) It allows me to do cool stuff like control it entirely from VNC on my mac and put awesome things on like folders and springboard like this:

ive jailbroke my phone also updated , all is fine just had to re jailbreak

Whoa Liss!!

Cant believe I have found another TPer who wont tell me that I have broken my phone forever by jailbreaking!

Nice to meet yas!

easy enough to restore and imo makes having the phone worth while , can copy and paste video record .....

is jailbreaking iphone now officially illegal? if it is, then we will have to nuke all talk of it.

I think it invalidates the warrenty and something to do with there software?
Whats the diffrence in the new update?

Not illegal yet Matty.

Apple is currently going through the courts in the states to get sopyright on the jailbreaking bit, But nothing on the unlocking .... Linky

In Italy, all phones sold are not allowed to be locked to any one network.

pretty sure jailbreaking is kosher, got a few friends that do it but i'm WM to the core WHOOOP

ps I like bugs

Anything you do to your iPhone that dosen't come from apple via iTunes is breaking their terms and conditions.

You might have bought the phone but apple still think they own it.

Is that the same with there computers, are you locked to apple approved apps or is it open sauce like windows.
