I've been lucky enough to have the chance to buy a iphone 4s 64gb from my brother for £50, only issue is the power button doesn't work and the screen has a crack in it. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for where to get it fixed?

If you've got around £150 you could get a new one In exchange for your broken one from the apple store. You have to make a genius appointment before you go.

My power button stopped all of a sudden, phoned apple up as EU Directive states electrical / electronic devices should have a minimum of 2 years warranty.

I spoke to a person in the uk and she didn't have a clue and was determined not to let me talk to her manager although after a few minutes she put me through someone in the USA. He was informed by said woman of my situation. He advised me that I will be on hold for 10-15 minutes as he was going to see which department would sort out a repair or replacement. He spoke to sales department and they didn't care was not going to budge as apple only provides 1 year hardware warranty. The second department customer relations agreed with him that instead of going down the lengthy route of consumer law they gave me a replacement as the spring under the power button isn't replaceable.

Good luck !
