iphone or not to iphone...

I ditched two blackberries (and I sell them!!) for an iphone and I don't regret it one bit. My son has recently acquired some recently released 'iphone-killer' and has told me he thinks it is not a patch on the iphone. Sorry, I don't remember his phone model.

Battery life is not an issue despite what some people say. If you are in the habit of charging your phone overnight then it's not an issue. The only time I've experienced a fairly rapid battery level drop was when I was game playing for a long session when on hols.

Just get one.

 would that not be about 100% extra? sounds ok to me.
Let me rephrase

Based on my usual usage, I get between 2-3days from phone alone.

Therefore the extra day gained is disproportionate to the item's price [imo]

Sorry, but battery life IS an issue. I don't want to be charging EVERY day personally.

Agree with daperman ref the PDA user. My mate has a htc thing and hates the iPhone because it isn't win mobile.

It isn't perfect but of you want something easy to use rh iPhone would suit. Bought a 2g off here. Speed is ok. Rarely get good enough signal to warrant 3g anyway

I've jailbroken mine, gives a lot more options.

iPhone... :suspect: ... it would be SO rude not to imhgo... :naughty:

:p

I Just dont think i can warrant spending an extra £15 a month and almost £100 just to get something where I would have to ration my txting

The Nokia 5800 seems to tick a lot of my boxes, Better camera than the iphone, high quality screen, wifi, 3g, flash web browsing... I just need to have a go with one to make my mind up.

I bought my first iPhone(3GS 32GB) two weeks ago and it seems so i will never come back to Nokia anymore.
I really like it, is not so black/white case, apple has many weard "option" and iPhone is technically old fashion if compares with Nokia. Some features are missing what should expect in latest(or even older version) iphone include.

yeah it was free.
I can just buy the LG viewty for about £60 off ebay and use that, why is that not a good idea, the reviews seem good.

The viewty normally gets rubbish reviews from people who have used it for a while in my experience.

Anyway it doesn't matter now, you got an iPhone, what did you get it for out of interest?

Also it's interesting to see the names in this thread, 90% of you seem to be mac users...

To the poster who was asking about iCal to iPhone syncing, look into Google calendar and CalDAV, it's free and works really well.
