iPhone Internet Usage

Hello all,

Just how much internet usage do you use per month on your iphone? I appreciate that everyone is different..but for the average user would 1Gb a month be sufficient?

Mine's usually between 250-500Mb / month

I have 4 email accounts that sync every 15 mins (don't see the need for Push), I use maps and a tube map app aquite a bit getting round meetings in London, and I use Safari to browse and kill time. I'd say I'm a heavy user but I do tend to hop onto free WiFi when available because of the speed.

It really depends on what sort of connections you can make use of. If you have WiFi at home, or at work, then you'll probably be using that most of the time. If you don't have WiFi access and you don't get a 3G signal then using GPRS will be so slow that you'll probably not bother using the net too much.

It's only if you're mainly using 3G and you do a lot of downloading of stuff like video that you're likely to get anywhere near 1GB a month.

I tend to use between 250mb - 500mb per month.
I use my WIFI at home but network data everywhere else.

I use email heavily (two accounts). Several different GPS apps and sarari a fair bit.

I have unlimited but guess i dont really need it! Althrough its nice not to worry!

You can also get an app that tracks your daily usage and you can set up limits and warnings when you are about to go over.

I have the N900 and have the 'Dataplan monitor' which i reset monthly.

I've used 857.59MB so far since the 1st March But that does include Facebook & Flickr most days whilst in work.
