iphone doesnt connect to the net

Just got my iphone and put my sim inside it with my current plan and it says Im not subscribed to a data service

I think that this is becuase there used to be a different sim in it so it is still set up for the old service. Try going to your local phone shop to see if they can sort it out.

I take it this is a iPhone you have brought/unlocked and using with a non-iPhone SIM?

have you gone to 'Settings>Network>Cellular Data Network' and added all the setting for your SIM/Network?

Have u you set up your data network settings yet?

"Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network" and then enter your APN and user/password details for your provider. Vodafone use APN - "internet" and user - "web" / pass - "web". Google your provider for the settings they use for WAP.

got through to 02 and they gave me the right settings. Went into the shop earlier and they were like, you cant do it, you need to change to an iphone tarrif and so on....The people on the phone told me the right answer

Did you get this sorted,had the same problem with my wife's but had to change one of the settings

yerah its sorted now, just trying to find out if I can sync google calendar with my phone now.

Yes you can! It is very easy. I fiound the CalDAV route was better than the Exchange route.

exchange route to update ical and google calendar seems to work very efectivly.

What I would love to do is add an appointment to ical and have the loaction be added to the google maps app in phone.
