Any suggestions what best case works for iPhone and where to get it from please?

P.S: I know obvious choice is eBay etc but want to know if anyone's got something more superior or personalised? :help:

i use a krussel case for mine while at work as i need to keep it protected
got that from play.com
for when i am not at work i use an incipeo case that just covers the back and i have a screen protector on
get a real ed hardy case if you fancy something a bit blingy from o2 http://shop.o2.co.uk/accessory/Ed_Hardy_Swarovski_iPhone_Case

I use an iPhone sock bought from the apple store as advised by the Apple Genius that was replacing my overheating iPhone, this keeps it protected and keeps it clean, although I don't expect it would survive any great fall

I got one which is a rubber cover from the Apple store plus a screen protector. It was about £20 and was pretty good really.

I use a belkin rubber type sleeve, its been great for 18 months now. Comes in a myriad of colours and patterns.

see here

I've just bought a Speck CandyShell case for mine. It just covers the back but it comes with a screen protector too, available in different colours from Apple or Amazon for just over £20. Seems to do the trick

I don't use anything on mine, but make sure I keep it in a pocket on its own so it doesn't get scratched.

I would however recommend a screen protector as mine has a nice scratch on the screen after I tried unlocking it with some grit on my finger :bang:

I use one of these > LINK. I likes it because I didn't want anything that added bulk to the phone. It protects against scratches really well so I'm not worried about putting it down on pub tables, chucking it in the glovebox etc. It also has a slightly rubbery feel to it so makes the phone easier to grip in the hand. I doubt it would do much in the way of drop protection but that's a trade off I'm willing to suffer for no added bulk. It does require the patience of a saint to apply it properly, but if you do it well, you only have to do it once.

Incipio Feather for me - just fits on the back, although you also get a screen protector. Doesn't add bulk so you can still dock the iPhone without removing the case...

Linky Amazon

I use a Belkin leather jobby.

Protects the Iphone in a solid leather case, with a flippy front.

The phone has survived many bangs and bumps. :bonk:

Griffin iClarifi.
It's a good case that doesn't make the iPhone look ugly.

It also has a lens cover for the camera which doubles up as a macro lens

Be careful, my mate had a apple silicon case and having got some water on it as he shook it off out came the phone ending up some 20 yards down the road with a rather shattered screen!

Thank you all for your expert advice on this one. :) Will now be able to take an informed decision.

Well I managed to drop mine earlier, two nice chunks out of the bezel. Doh.

I use a 2 piece clear plastic thing, yes it adds bulk.
However, the one time the iphone has been out of its protector was just after new year, used it in my Bose dock for tunes.

Then put phone back in pocket and forgot case, day later I decide to go to the park with my son.
thinks to myself, must put case back on at some point, puts phone in rear pocket, as usual.

proceeds to take pics of boy in park, including a nice one by sitting on roundabout with him and spinning it round.
next time I look at phone I discover a crack in the layer under the screen, which has now spread.

the are quite flexible really!

Incipio feather, ebay, £10.

I used to have one of these which was lovely but the Carbon did diminish the signal slightly. Where I work it's a weak signal hence used to cut me off!

Switcheasy NUDE. Apparently the thinnest iphone case on the market (0.8mm). I got the clear one. Only covers the back/ sides but it does come with 2 screen protectors too. Tried to put these on but they were just not clean enough for me so sacked em.
At the moment, as it's new (sad I know) I've stolen Mrs Dangleman's nice htc leather pouch thing, which is a perfect fit for double protection whilst it's in my manbag.

I'm running the switcheasy capsule rebel in white (on a white 3GS) and love it. Protection and keeping it slim! If you want protection and don't care about bulk then go for the 'JCB' fashioned Otterbox Defender although that is also available in girly pink, black or white too

Got mine from mobile fun whos delivery was ok, and I found a £5 off voucher so saved a bit too :)

Otterbox make fantastic cases very robust and rugged.

Had 3 of these now (2 were white and I got them to dirty so wanted to change) dont think i'd ever have another case for my iPhones.

had a sample from work of the "Ed Hardy" cases they sell in selfridges = worse case ever, cracked and broke within a week (working in the industry i treat phones well)

Bought this one finally Linky

Beauty about it is that it is very thin and does not add bulk to an already bulky phone. Also comes in RED for the opposite sex [I am a male :D]
