Does anyone have any views on which would be the best camera app to replace the standard iPhone 4 one?

Must still shoot at full 5mp res, but would like more control over the image. I guess ISO/shutter control is pushing it a bit far but...

Seems to be loads on the app store, most with good reviews!:help:

GorillaCam always seem a popular choice - and free too. Camera+ I like too, as it's got effects built in. But yeah, there are thousands!

The iPhoneography blog is a good one to keep an eye on for app reviews, and Life in LoFi for the more 'vintage' style apps.

Is there an iPhone camera app with exposure lock?
If I could have one feature on a phone cam exp lock would be my choice.

I bought slow shutter the other day - tbh it's rubbish. Doesn't save in full res ( despite saying it does) and doesn't do anything but brighten the shot IMHO. I've just got gorilla cam, that seems better.

Sent from my iPhone 4 using TP Forums

I use camera+ does a decent job and the built in effects are fun too.

Camera+ (from taptaptap) has ability to select focus point and exposure point on screen seperate from each other. It also now saves images much faster direct to the photo library. It is my camera app of choice.

Of the HDR apps Pro HDR is the best I have found. Lomo Lomo & Cam Wow are good fun too.

Gorilla cam is best for "standard" pics.

Camera + is the best one , slow shutter app is rubbish

I use

Infinicam
Hipstamatic
Pinhole Camera
Halftone
8mm (for video)

I like all of them for different things though

Edit: I must stress that they don't replace the standard app. I just misread the OP, but I'll leave my post in case anyone wants to check them out.

Just loaded Camera+ alot better then the standard Camera App

I use a combination of :

Camera+
iDarkroom
iCameraHDR
Colorsplash
PS Express

Not all at the same time, but you can get some great results using any of the above.

CamWow is pretty good, and it's free also. :)

Picplz is good. I've got it for HTC though so not sure if it's available for iPhone?

i'd say Gorrillacam's pretty good if you're looking for basic features, otherwise camera + is a great one :)

Camera+ for me,
The PS app is good for tweaking afterwards.
