iPhone and WhatsApp

Am sure there's some 'Apple' people in here who can answer this.

I got a friend to put WhatsApp on her iPhone so we could share stuff easier. She said she had to uninstall it as FaceTime and messaging wouldn't work on the iPhone while WhatsApp was installed. Is this correct, and, if so, is there any way around it?

Not heard of that before, using whatsapp, viber, imessage, slack mostly without any issues

Use Whatsup, Faceache, Messyger, email, etc all together on iPhone with no issues (except I hate ‘em all!), Derek.

there are option on android (not apple) where you can set default applications that take over other applications which she might have set.
long shot but she might have told facetime and text to use the whtsapp app or something similar

I was just thinking about the Android default app thing..... I'll get a look at it. Can't see how it wouldn't just work.....
