Hi all,
So my wife got herself a new iPhone se and now it won't connect to her iTunes because she still uses wndows Vista on her pc and apparently you can't have the latest version of iTunes on Vista!
Have we got this right??
Is there a workaround or has she got to get a new pc aswel??
thanks

Why does she need to connect to the PC? If the iPhone is connected to her Apple ID then everything will appear on the phone.

The days of having to connect an iPhone to a computer are long gone.

She has some playlists she uses for work and now cant access them? Where would they be in the cloud?
Oh and so sorry I meant Vista not XP!!

Just use icloud, I haven’t used iTunes in donkeys years!

As said above, you need to look in Settings. It is a bit confusing in that iTunes is listed in Settings but I don't think there is an iTune App any more but the content is split between Music, Videos, Books etc Apps.
AFAIK iTunes is only necessary for restoring iPhones when you have a problem, at least I haven't used iTunes in years.

As per the others, I haven't had the need to use it for many years. Just got the new iPhone 7's for my wife and I. Just set it up, pop in your iCloud details, and it restores and gives access to everything.

Naturally if she never done that with her previous iPhone, well then you are stuffed. I'd connect the old one and enable iCloud and sync everything.

Thanks, we're getting there! Some of her tunes haven't synced to the cloud for some reason- and apple say there is no support for Iphone SE in windows vista

If you really need to synch via iTunes (and I can't see why) she could sign in to her account on another computer with a later operating system on it.

That last part makes no sense whatsoever.

What they say is there is no support for iPhone SE in the latest version of itunes available in Vista

The only solution is a newer version of Windows or a Macintosh. If you visit either link posted by Bakhtina, under What's new in iTunes is a notation that "iPhone SE and iPad Pro (9.7-inch) is not supported on Windows XP or Windows Vista." Microsoft will actually support Vista for another 8 months, but Apple ended support with the release of iTunes 12.1.3 on September 16, 2015.

Having been 'Googling' iTunes recently there is some information on rolling back iTunes, so might be worth doing a search ... though care would be needed including full backup before starting :)
