iPhone 5S/C and iOS7

Yeah, you're stuck with IMAP or the Gmail app. Or you could try mailbox, which is a cool alternative to the Gmail app that's also a really useful scheduling assistant.
 
Push was disabled by Gmail a while back, only if it was set up it stayed.

For a new installation it wont work, iMAP only.
 
My 5s decided it didn't like Wednesday mornings anymore and killed itself.

Just closing apps, I got a blue screen and then a connect to iTunes screen.

Really convenient in the middle of a work day :(

Seems to have recovered ok through iTunes.

iOS 7 is full of bugs !

Grrr, just had an email from O2 recycle saying the 4s 64gb was received with a cracked screen and they would reduce the agreed price by 80%. As I handed the handset was physically handed into an O2 store in perfect condition not best pleased!

Will await the response but extremely unhappy which is a first for O2 customer service.
 
How are people finding the spirt level feature of ios7, it's miles out of true on my 5s :o
 
5c for 99 dollars in US of A or £469 back home, urine extraction or am I missing something?

I'm showing between 0° and -1° on mine, so pretty accurate. It seems as if one batch has a problem.

I just tested mine by downloading a spirit level app to my old iPhone, the difference between the 2 phones is 0.1°.

it does appear to be another known fault with the level, Dave have you tried the standard level app on all planes i.e with the phone on it's back, sides and ends?

mine differs between -1 and +2 on the same surface depending on which side it's resting on. :D

3G signal acquisition and the ability to keep it is still woeful.

Worth resetting network settings and restarting phone. Mine was better after a a quick kick in the pants. Mobile data seems to disappear altogether with the use of some apps on ios 6. I'm assuming the same bug has transferred :thumbsdown:

Waze seems to be particularly bad for it. Once it's gone then you've had it until you have reset network settings.

If you reset network settings, then what has to be done afterwards, eg. re-entering passwords etc?

It only forgets wifi passwords. Nothing else. No browser saved ones are affected from what I remember.
 
I noticed that data went off during a call on iOS 6 and 7, always thought that was engineered in, not noticed it after using an app. I'll try the network reset thingy.


Also, has the process for fwd'ing a text changed? I don't seem to be able to do it under ios7

It will only be accurate on the right side and bottom, the volume buttons and power button mean the left and top can't actually lie flat.

With regard signal, my 5s is getting and holding a better signal than my old 4s or Samsung S3 I've had. Actually noticeable in call conversation, not just an improvement on the signal strength meter.

Touch and hold the message you want to forward, click "more" from the popup and click the arrow in the bottom right corner, it then opens a page to enter the number you want to forward it to.

my other half says that after update to ios7 pad is dead slow...
links from facebook wont work, videos on facebook wont work - no sound
in browser she uses, videos play without sound..

she want to go back to previous version...
anyone has similar issues ??

What browser you use?
Do all videos people link on FB work?

Shall I reinstall FB?
And why videos were fine before in the browser and are not now.....
 
Most likely explanation is that it is junked up and is running out of memory of one kind or another. How much free space does it have? I'd also do a full reset and make sure any stray apps are shut down. If there are loads of apps running and it has run short of memory as well as swap space it will slow down.

There's also a new thing called spotlight which indexes everything on a device. That can slow things down a lot to begin with so I'd turn it off from anything you don't need to be searched.
 
Yay 5s arrived this morning :D
 
Ordered the mrs a 5s from O2 on Sunday evening (3-6 weeks) it arrived this morning and she seems happy with it so that's a tick in the good box for me lol

O2 are doing good deals on the 4s & 5 so may get the kids them for Christmas

I doubt they'll have the 5 around for long because it's a discontinued model.
 
There is definitely a lag issue with Safari. Sure it is snappy on the iPhone 5S but on the iPad mini it is pretty bad and my colleague, who has an iPhone 4 has almost chucked it out of the window.

I hope there is a fix soon :thumbs:
