iPhone 5S/C and iOS7

I think the issue lays with Apple not the networks. Its really disappointing they have such little stock of their product which they should surely know will be a big hit on launch day. Its not like its the first time they've done it is it? :lol:

There is no circular aspect to the screens in Android, swipe to the left to the beginning, and then have to go back to go the right :shrug:.

There is an option to allow continual swiping one way to loop the pages

Yeah, all the networks are pointing the finger at Apple, but why did they release when they didn't have the stock. I know it's all about creating hype but in doing so they pee a lot of people off too.

Are you still having issues. My ipad is worse but wife's ipad mini is woeful. Turn off all background stuff but still no good.

Shouldn't be at all. Check screen brightness. It defaults to turning it up.

My mini lasts the same. I've turned off some of the location stuff too.

There's also a useful app called caret that analyses what apps use what power and what settings do. That's worth using for a couple of weeks to make sure there's nothing rogue in the background. It does take a while to gather the data though.
 
Every time an iOS update is released people complain about battery life....

A restore to default settings and then restoring last backup will usually resolve the issue.

Seems to have settled. Went through absolutely every setting to make sure it's what I wanted and it looks to be fine now.
 
5 is discontinued by Apple but there are suppliers with stocks. I can help with a 4, 4S and 5 ;)
 
My music controls still don't work in control centre despite a couple of reboots.
 
This is the first time in a while that the previous phone has been discontinued. The 4S was still available after 5 launch. The 5 has been replaced by the 5C.

The 4S is still available, but only as an 8Gb

Has anyone found the iOS7 is slightly sluggish esp with typing?
 
I've found a few bugs so far.

One good thing that seems to have gone. Remember you could do a Facebook status update or tweet from the notification centre? That function has gone. I found it useful.
 
Mine was sluggish to start with then just stopped. The issue with blurry text seems to have disappeared so I'm assuming either I've started holding it at the one precise angle it needs to be legible or my eyes have accustomed to how the display looks now.

Battery life on the mini looks like it is going to be even longer than before. Iphone life seems to be worse. That's with turning off a load of stuff and only one app allowed background updating.
 
No sluggishness when typing here on 4s and ipad2. Presumably everyone is not leaving a load of apps running in the background?

Battery life seems about the same. I turned a load of notifications off, I've been quite selective with what uses location services and I've switched off background movement.

Background movement? Is that the accessibility reduce movement option or another?

I notice the clock is now animated on the home screen. I don't need a seconds display. That's a waste of energy for a start.
 
Mines is fine on the ipad but getting rid of the apps in the background was a bit of a pain!

Other than music controls in control centre not working on my 4S, I've also found that scrolling down genius mixes on my iPad 3 crashes the music app.
 
Overall I've had hardly any problems despite the odd strange bug. The main annoyance has been the App Store only working when it wants to (but I know this has been happening on iOS 6 too) and the fact that quite a few apps still haven't been updated. I've a couple of paid apps that I use all the time which still have no iOS 7 update and are only half working. Developers have only had since the summer to do it!

Depends what you are running.

Mine uses a launcher called Nova, the box tick is "infinity loop".

The TouchWiz launcher is a box tick "wrap around", so it depends on your device, what JB version and maybe what launcher.
I dunno if you even need a launcher but SlimBean comes with it as stock.

Stock JB 4.3 on a new generation Nexus 7.

Stock Android doesn't have a front end interface like Touchwiz, which I think is a Samsung add-on and not an actual feature of Android.
 
Checking around, I don't think its an option on stock JB 4, it was on ICS because I have Cyanogenmod 9 as dual boot with slimbean on this phone and its trebuchet launcher doesn't have it but Cyanogen does which is based on ICS, you'll need a launcher if you want it on JB 4.3.
Nova launcher app is pretty good.

99% sure, but I'm so used to being able to do anything, you forget what is or is not available in stock flavour.
 
What's happened to the remote app with an Apple TV?? I used to be able to get an album view and choose whole albums to play. Now the link doesn't work and I just get playlists. If I want to play music I have to go into music on the ipad itself and use airplay which is a monumental faff in comparison to just using remote.
