Yes
Phone has just had new screen fitted ,on starting up phone there's a message say "phone disabled try again in 26,839,612 minutes . Can anyone explain and has anyone come across this themselves .

It sounds like someone has been trying the wrong lock code too many times.

Edit
A quick Google finds this:

There’s a piece of news from tech.qq.com that someone inserted the wrong passcodes for 5 times and got the notification, “iPhone is disabled, try again in 23614974 minutes!” That is really unbelievable! 23614974 minutes is about 45 years! You may think it’s a prank. But it did happen on that poor guy and he at last went to the Apple Store and got the iOS system reinstalled. And it turns out that the problem is caused by jail-breaking and changing of iOS system.

Comment on that article say:

It also happens when the screen is replaced. All you have to do is make sure it connects to wifi so it can set the time. then it should work. It looks like her phone was connected to wifi so I’m not sure if that was her problem.

this has nothing to do with jailbreaking, the article is simply wrong.
Yes your device can be locked for that ridiculous amount of time, but there is a remedy — connecting your device to iTunes as the article suggests. This, however, is absolutely no result of jailbreaking.

Thanks Dave ,it mentions connecting to Wfi ,this seems not possible whilst phone is disabled . All i'm able to do is access emergency calls ?

The second comment clarifies, connect to iTunes and it should sync the time, if it doesn't you might have to restore the firmware (again via iTunes).

I presume the connect to wifi will only work if the phone is already linked to the wifi before the problem (as the phone will connect to wifi upon being switched on and finding a wifi network it was previously connected to, even from the lock screen)

You will need to turn it off launch iTunes hold the home button in and keep it pressed plug in sync cable, keeping button pressed I'll it comes up its a message in iTunes, then real ease home button, this will put it in recovery mode to resin all os, you can the restore from backup

Do a search for DFU restore if you have trouble putting the phone into recovery mode. I hope you have a recent backup.

Thanks everyone, have tried all afternoon yesterday with no luck . I've noticed 3 white dots on the screen when I'm rebooting it . Two up by the Apple icon just to the left ,another directly bellow them at the bottom.

That's me .... I'm stumped . Guess it's off the Apple shop I go
