iPhone 4 or HTC Sensation ?

I've got a lowly Orange San Francisco, that I originally rooted and flashed with a Modaco Rom, which also removed the Orange branding and unlocked the phone. I didn't have to get phone unlocked separately. I've since flashed a new Cyanogen Rom and now have Android 2.3 running on the phone.

If you want to play, tinker, fiddle and generally have a phone work how "you" want it to work, Android is the way to go.

Unless you want to use flash, be tied into itunes not change the battery etc etc
To be far I had an iphone 3g and it was good but just not ad good as my S2, mind you I do like to play around so will be having a go at rooting and flashing the rom.
 
Well it's finally here!! But it's charging! :|

I was cacking myself at the prospect of rooting and flashing a new ROM onto my desire.
That said, after bricking it once I finally got it done and upon reflection it was a doddle.
Nice now to have a speedy Desire! that does everything I want it to just better :D
 
I went into the O2 shop to buy a crappy little P&G phone as my Sony X10 has bitten the bullet and I needed something to tide me over until my contract runs out. The lovely gent there told me I could upgrade today and he would give me 100 pounds for the broken Sony! Walked out with a Sensation, case and screen protectors and a 13 pounds refund :D

It's a boss piece of kit. The fact that I can watch the iplayer on it is immense!
 
I fiddled about with the notification settings for email notification and it drove me barmy hearing that ping all the time until I got back home and changed it:D
 
How is everyone finding the battery life on the Sensation? Mine does not seem to be particularly good despite having most things turned off.

Good enough for me:)

I have always carried a spare battery in the past and ordered a spare genuine HTC battery for this one from Amazon yesterday. I received notification this morning that it has been posted out first class today.

Maybe a spare battery is a good idea, hadn't thought of that! How long do you get though? I don't think mine is going to manage 2 days!
 
If I just make calls and check emails I can get well into a 3rd day between charges. If I'm playing games and bored it might last to mid afternoon :)

Hmmm, that's pretty good. Was it like that from the start? I'm hoping mine will get better as it gets used a little and properly charged

I had the Desire, now have the Sensation ... Battery life gets better and better as you condition it by charging. Mine gets plugged in every night.

Yeah, download some good games and give the battery a good hammering, run it flat or as low as you dare if possible before re-charging. they definitely improve with a good few cycles in them.
