iPhone 4 or 4S

 Iphone5 is potentially due so that might further impact on 4 & 4s prices.

Siri is fun for about half an hour then you'll never use it again IMO

Siri is very useful for posting on forums. Just typed this using Siri, much quicker.

My gf has the 4S and the difference in speed compared to my 4 is incredible. Apps are almost instantaneous, no legginess at all on anything. In comparisos, mine looks like a dinosaur!

The 4s is an impressive step up in speed over the 4 and compared to the 3gs it's night and day.

Siri is actually really cool for the quick things like reading a text while driving, or finding out the weather or even starting a search on the web while you're occupied with something else.

It's not very good at finding out if your boss is a steaming *&^%$%^& (*^% *&^%$£ :annoyed: though :D

The other alternative if you are happy with your 3GS is to move to a sim only contract. It seems that iOS6 will support the 3GS.

One more thing to think about is that the turn by turn navigation on iOS6 isn't supported on the iPhone 4 (or 3GS I assume).

considering Apple is killing iPad 1 support. if i am buying now, i'd stretch for 4S for more futureproof. the 4S's dual-core processor is just sooooo fast. (and the fact that turn-by-turn navigation is supported on 4S)

i had a 4, lost it. bought cheap second hand 3GS and was a breath of relief to see it will get iOS 6. i think im going to wait until the iphone after next one to upgrade 4S. loosing a high-end smart phone is just too much of a financial hit, especially after i've spent £800 on camera gear in that month.

If you can wait until September when the iPhone 5 is rumoured to be released then do.

Alternatively get a 4S now, I upgraded from a 2 year old 3GS in March and the difference in speed, screen quality and all round user experience is night and day. :)
