I've just been having a look around Ipernity and am really liking what I see so far. Looks like quite a small community but I wondered if anyone else had moved there, or is already on there and wants another follower/contact from a TP'er.

This is me: http://www.ipernity.com/home/286097

Show us yer links!

Ian.

I'm on it, but I'm not that impressed with it.

It's a blatant (old) flickr rip off, but the news pages are so jumbled I find it hard to find new photo's from my contacts so I'm missing a lot of shots. And it doesn't just feel right.

Flickr is way better imo (even after the update). I shall, however, stick with Ipernity and will use it as another avenue to get my shots out there.

I've been using Ipernity for a couple of years, although not really that much. In fact hardly anything and I've never posted any links from it.
The issue I have is with them not allowing faces to be seen in street shots. They said at one point it was French law but this seems to have been proven as false.
I know of quite a few regular posters that were either banned or left over this.

Was that a while ago Dave?

Reason I ask is that there are a few Street Photography groups that show faces (examples here and here and here)

If you have a link to the place it states that I'd be very interested as that would be a deal breaker for me.

Thanks!

Ian.

This was over a year or so ago so maybe things have changed. It didnt seem like everyone was affected, or caught, but there were a few posters that brought the issue to light and a few had their accounts suspended until faces were removed.
I dont have any actual links, nor can i find anything current using Google so maybe their rules have changed.

EDIT; I should add that none of my shots taken on the streets, parades etc, have been removed or flagged so maybe its only certain types of shots.
