Hi guys,

Anyone got any tips for connecting compact flash cards to iPads. Got a wee card reader and can't for the life of me to get my iPad to read the files.

Any tips appreciated. S
 
With the Apple's camera connection kit, use the USB one, plug your camera direct into the USB port, and your iPhoto will read the image files.
 
Cheers, not having any joy with my adapter but don't use iPhoto will try that now. S
 
Same as mine but I have the smaller connection for iPad 4. What app do you use?
 
Apple (in their infinite wisdom which has nothing to do with wanting to sell extras at exorbitant prices...) decided to change the connectors so older connection kits will not fit the newer products. Not something they advertise much and an adaptor from Lightning to 30 pin (that works - there's extra circuitry in the Apple product that's missing from the cheap ones) will cost about £25. Not sure if there's a CF adapter that plugs directly into the iPad4.

If you've got an iPad, why do you need any other camera? Don't you know it's a single device solution for everything?
