iPad won't turn on - any ideas ?

Hi

My daughter's iPad (4th Gen 64GB) won't turn on

She said it had some charge when she turned it off but now it won't come back on.

I've tried plugging it into the charger and I've tried the 'pressing the two buttons together' method which I read could work but no luck.

Does anybody have any suggestions ?

Let it charge for a while before trying to switch it on.

It's been plugged in few times for a few hours at a time over the last few days.

The charger is fine as I tested it on my iPad.

Hmm doesn't sound good ... I assume that with the 'two button method' you kept both buttons pressed for a little time?

Yes, two buttons held in together for varous lengths from a second or two to a couple of mins. I also tried plugging it in whilst the buttons were held.

She's not having much luck. Her brand new laptop (bought 4 weeks ago) has problems. The screen has gone all funny. It looks like a pixelated oil slick and nothing is visible so it's impossible to try and connect to itunes.

Yep - it's an official charger and works fine on my ipad.
