Ipad to memory help

Hi everybody,here we go again, can I put photos back on a memory card from ipad2.do I need xtra software? Is it pos or ???
 
The only way you can do that from the Ipad is to jailbreak it (only tethered currently available for 5.1) and install 'Ifile' from Cydia. Then, using the camera connection kit you can browse the Ipad OS and copy/paste images from it to an SD card. To be honest though, the easiest way is to use Dropbox and upload the shots to your account from the Ipad then bring them down with a PC or Android device.

Its not being complicated. As soon as they give access to system files out of the box, people can play around with the the OS and cause issues and virus'. It's a closed OS.

If its that much of an annoyance, sell up and buy an Android tablet.
 
There's absolutely no need to grant access to the system files in order to allow some form of data file management.

Correct, but there are ways and means of making any file into some sort of Trojan. Snapseed is a nice app, it lets you upload to Flickr, simply. And at their original resolution.
 
All I am wanting to do is get photos from camera onto iPad edit then put them onto hard drive(can't do that) or put them back onto sd card or memory stick ( can't do that) seems its very limited without been a computer whizz as to what I can do, but it's a very nice looking gadget all the same

You could sync back to a folder on a pc with Dropbox.

Tbh the iPad isn't really a great device for processing images, due to the relatively underpowered processor.
 
At the moment having 2nd thoughts on this iPad in favour of the Samsung.been on this afternoon and thinking its just all a little bit too much till you get it home.at moment got the opportunity to ditch and start again, advice great fully accepted

Or simply upload them to a cloud storage device then access it via PC??

Which Samsung and can you do more with it regarding file transfer?

Wouldn't say it's underpowered as such (though of course compared to top end pc it's no where near as powerful), as there are some superb editing apps out there for the iPad and they run superfast my iPad 3. Just don't expect it to be as in depth as CS / LR!

The main issue i find is the lack of native raw support and finding an iPad card reader that takes CF cards! Amazon sorted the last one for me.

And a little off topic, but I was very surprised about how good the camera is on the iPad 3' not that it terribly practical to use as a camera...

No but if he does (as a dslr user you'd expect at least a basic IT set up?) this would surely be the easier solution.
