I bought the iPad app version of The Photographers Eye - Composition and Design for Better Digital Photos, on a bit of a whim the other day but its definitely one of the best books/iPad apps I have bought recently.

The iPad app version is basically an eBook but with some interactivity built into it, so you can slide your finger on some pages to see different crops of a photo and on other pages there are little videos or audio clips built in as well as other graphical elements that explain certain concepts.

Its really quite interactive and a great way to learn and its pretty much what every eBook should be in my opinion rather than just a straight forward copy of the paper book this makes good use of the technology available in the iPad.

This is one of the few times I have bought an eBook (its an app but in essence its a book) and not been annoyed that its not cheaper than the paper version. They are rightly justified in charging more for this because they have added content and interaction not present in the paper book.

If you don't have an iPad, why not ? they make a great mobile portfolio and sales tool for photographers! but seriously if you don't have an iPad I think the paper book would still be a good read for photographers looking to expand their knowledge of composition with a view to taking better photographs.

YouTube video showing the authors introduction to the book.

If you do buy it I hope that you enjoy it as much as I have.

Can't think why you'd want to make your photos look like they'd been taken on a disposable camera, a piece of technology that is possibly the lowest point in camera development?

I think it's probably an advertising bot. It's not English and has possibly been driven by the thread title:rules:
