iPad and flicr app

I'm running out of storage on my iPad with 16gb. Essentially, its full of photos but I want to keep them all. I thought, if I get the flickr app, and transfer all the photos to that with the 1tb storage they give, I'll then be able to access the photos on the flickr app over internet, but not take up physical storage. However.. it does;t seem to do that, and actually stores the photos on the device as well.. Am I missing something? How can I store all the photos on an app online without storaging them on the iPad?

Once you have uploaded to Flickr or another online place delete them from your iPad. I would recommend storing the pictures in more than one place.

Stick the cable on your mac and sync with iphoto then delete the whole data of your iphone app. Dropbox would also work for a different way to transfer.

I just hate how iOS handles files, makes me want to vomit
