Yes
I import my images (jpegs) to my photo album on my iPad for viewing, but often feel I'm not seeing them at their best.
I also use photobucket, which I import to from my iPad.
Would I be better to set up a Flickr account and use that instead of photobucket?
Would I be better uploading from my Mac to photobucket/Flickr rather than from my ipad?
Just wondered what you're thoughts were,

Just buy a cheap sd adaptor for your load, and copy the images direct from the sd card, no loss of resolution etc

Not sure what you mean? Copy to where? Ipad? I already use an sd adaptor to get the images onto my iPad.

I find uploading photos direct to my ipad takes forever in bulk. If you are out and about and need to have a quick preview of a picture then it's ideal but I don't think the early ipad models have particularly good quality screens. I have an ipad 2 and the screen quality is pretty poor... but then I'm comparing that to my macbook pro with retina screen at home. ;-)

Do you not have a laptop or computer? Or just the ipad? I think you will find the newer ipads now have a lot better picture quality screens. From my experience with the ipad2, having a Flickr account doesn't make the quality of my images any better that's for sure. I have to view them on my laptop to get the best quality.

Photobucket compresses the arse out of images.

Flickr does slightly on the sized options but the original is (or at least was) untouched. So advice there is upload at the size you want to view at.
