iPad 2 Photo Album problem

Wonder if anyone can help or as had the same problem?? which is only affecting one of my photo albums.
For some reason one of my albums has created duplicate copies of some of the images and I cannot delete them.
Looking at the iPad maunal the only way to delete them is by deleting on the computer and then sync again.....but these photos are not duplicated in my album on the computer??
I have turned off and on the album concerned and each time it still loads duplicate copies of some of the images.......any ideas please.

Do u have latest software??
 
I dont think I do, would that make a difference do you think, as the folder on my pc does not have any duplicate images

Updated everything but still same problem...Hmm!

Is it an album that u have put the photos on from the tinternet or ur itunes?
 
Its a photo album (folder) which I have created on my computer and when I sync the ipad through itunes it keeps duplicating some, not all, of the images in the album even though there is no duplicated images in the folder on the pc.

I have had photos fail to copy across before. Moving the directory out of he folder that s synced and syncing again (to remove the album from the iPad) and then moving the directory back again normally fixes it. Just unselecting the album to be synced may not work as it might keep the rescaled images in its cache.
