iOS5

Downloading quicker for the iPad, hope this updates without issue.

i think it;s down to overload at Apple, i think it's failing the restore verification

Hmmm - downloaded, granted it took about an hour, installed and now it seems to be restoring back data from itunes.

Not had any 32xx errors!

Fingers crossed....

I think so, managed to D/l update, but keep getting 3200 error
Que sera, I'll try again tomorrow

What's the general feeling on iCloud?
Obviously a paid service and can't see ATM whether there is an option to specify what is backed up.

Mine seems to be doing something.....hold on to your hats :D

For some reason my photos went back on but not my music or apps...lost a couple of apps too. never mind.

Everything okay here, pics, music, videos and all apps up and running ok.

4th restore error...
Can wait til tomorrow now!

blooming 3200 error, 5 times now, each time getting further,
the last time, finnished download (didnt time out)
backed up (where it fell over times 1-4)
extracted new software
then fell over with error 3200, click ok for more info and is "3200" on the list, dont be silly
another apple shambles

yeah lets start the witch hunt.. i mean after all 700mb x 1,000,000's of users worth of bandwidth should be easy for any company to handle.

:cuckoo:

yes it is a shambles, if they cant handle the volume then they should organise it a different way,
do you think they werent expecting a busy day, they know dont the single figure how many units are out there so they should have a decent plan in place to do a better transition

iPhone all fine but now getting 3200 errors on the iPad

Steam handle it when a new game is launched

Apple know exactly how many users they have and their exact location so they should be able to plan it better than this :nono:

mr cook must have read my rant and gave me an exress link as now im on the vinegar strokes !! woooohoooo

i suspect the amount of ipads and iphones in the world makes steams traffic look insignificant ;)

i think whichever way they did it theyd get grief. if they did a phased rollout by country theyd get stick (but then youre still talking about millions of devices in some countrys), if they pushed it to blocks of users theyd get stick..

now restoring ipod apps, so all done nearly, cheers cooky boy, thanks for averting an ipod disaster in jockland

maybe because they are very cash rich they should have sent every customer a 1gb stick with the new software on it, now that would have been a gem to do

Don't like the fact you can't put the newsstand into a folder with anything else, it has to stay on its own.

Also is there a way to customise the alerts screen? What if you don't want the weather and share prices every time you swipe down?

i am being asked use i cloud or not use icloud, to be or not to be... haha maybe theres a play here

It's up and running, but telling me my iCloud details are incorrect

All done on Iphone, and yes notification are nice.

Don't think I can face doing my Ipad tonight
