Intervalometer

My to remote is nearing the end of its life( wires hanging out etc) so looking to replace it with an Intervalometer but I'm not sure which one to get. They aren't expensive unless I buy the Nikon but I'm looking for something under £30 or so as they seem to be under this price. There are several makes available so what one do you recommend for the D700/D810. I will be using for the odd night time photography session.

My Chinese made remote is perfect and functional it was only about £10...

Maybe build quality but I can buy 7/8 cheaper ones for the price of a Nikon hence I won't be doing that.

I bought a Yongnuo intervalometer recently, and it is a great bit of kit for the price i paid for it, works a treat !!

You could always make your own.

Hahnel Gigapro works pretty well. Range up to approx 100 feet. But perhaps a little more than you want to spend
