Maybe it is the server some sites use or whatever but. What I am finding is that posting the same photo on different web site forums produce different quality of photos posted. One particular site I have virtually given up on because the quality from there is terrible. It doesn't matterf if it is a direct photgo from my computer or via a Third party whee I store some of my on site photos.

If anyone has an explaination I would be most interested to read. Thay you

You’re internet connection is probably fine, it is the websites you are posting to that cause the problem. Is Elliott’s says, they will use different levels of compression to save space and bandwidth. Think of it in terms of some websites allowing high resolution images but others severely restrict the size so you end up with very low quality, ie their software will automatically reduce the resolution of what you have posted.
 
Note that if you can find what the resolution limits or size limits are for a given site, and create a version of the image yourself that is within those limits to upload to that particular site, the results will often be superior to letting the site itself resize a larger version of the image (particularly if you are using a raw file as the source).
