I have been on Firefox for about 3 weeks now and can't understand why it took me so long. My internet seems to run so much quicker and smoother :D

have you tried Safari?

Safari
unless a website doesn't render properly in which case I'll use Firefox.

go to safari preferences, advanced tab, and enable the 'Develop' drop down. Then you can make Safari act like a range of browsers so that the web site thinks you're using... whatever. I use the Develop drop down to make my bank's site think I'm using IE6.

Let's talk about add-ons. I couldn't live without them.

Currently I use:

Foxmarks: synchronises my bookmarks between computers automagically.
Scrapbook: rip webpages (useful for saving e-tickets etc)
Greasemonkey: bits of javascript to make browsing easier (resize youtube videos etc)
Dev toolbar: essential for making websites
Firebug: see above
Torbutton: anonymous browsing at the click of a button.

I have the dictionary & autospell check installed on my laptop, haven't got round to doing my desktop though, but immensly useful, especially when typing on a crappy laptop keyboard.

I'm currently using chrome or IE.
Used to use FF, but after the last upgrade I had problems, particularly with Facebook.

FF for me. Do people still use IE?

I only have one add-on installed: the most important one ~ Adblock Plus. No more ads on any of the webpages I visit :thumbs:

Firefox and Opera.

The great thing about firefox is the flexibility - adblock/scriptblock etc extensions

So why call Opera "poo", you man of influence?

i was actually refering to safari, but im my frothing rage i typed opera :$, iphone and mac come with safari, i put firefox on the mac but am stuck with safari on iphone...i did wonder WTF you were on about, my apologies, i havent used opera and have no intention of trying it.

till ie packs up or causes me grief, i will use that, nothing wrong with it and it works.

i was quite happy with IE, but then when i started having problems with it i changed and havent looked back since

Never have liked firefox - its plug in facility is good and its download handling far superior to IE but I hate its slowness and truth be told it isn't really any more secure than IE. I also hate how long it takes to start up.

Hmm, I would think your problem lies elsewhere. Firefox is lightning fast compared to IE and I don't know any FF users who wouldn't say the same.

I did download Safari but it won't work on my laptop for some reason.
